Second Restored Stained Glass Window Installed with Support from Grant Funding

Gainesville, GA — 12/16/25 — The Arts Council is pleased to announce the installation of its second restored stained glass window, made possible through a generous grant from The 1772 Foundation and Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.

The restored window brings color and light to The Sanctuary, further enhancing the space for artists, patrons, and the community. This installation marks the second completed window in an ongoing project to restore the more than 70 stained glass windows throughout the building.

“We are grateful for the support of The 1772 Foundation,” said Pamela Williams-Lime, Executive Director. “This grant allowed us to complete another important phase of the project. We are actively seeking additional funding to complete the remaining windows.”

The stained glass window is now installed and viewable at 201 Green St. Gainesville, GA 30501. Community members and supporters interested in contributing to the window restoration project are encouraged to learn more at www.theartscouncil.net.
