The Dahlonega Arts Council is dedicated to educating the public to the diverse aspects and forms of art through classes, workshops, presentations, art exhibitions, concerts, festivals, studio tours, monthly public art forums, community projects, and our bimonthly newsletter. In 2003, the DAC spearheaded the ongoing restoration of the Olde Cannery building, which is now the Old Cannery Arts Center and home to the Dahlonega Arts Council. Special art exhibits are presented throughout the year at the Center. Art exhibits feature the work in all media of artists from our area. These shows are not juried, and are open to both professional and beginning artists as a place to exhibit their work. The Arts Center is also available for private rental for your special occation. The DAC exists to foster and promote the arts in Dahlonega/Lumpkin County. We have been named as the official arts council by both local governments.
