and Lamb Chop

In the only venue outside of the Atlanta Metropolitan area for
the Center for Puppetry Arts summer program "Puppets Take Atlanta and
Beyond", The Arts
Council will present
Mallory Lewis and Lamb Chop
on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Pearce
Auditorium Brenau University. The performance begins at 2:30pm.
As the daughter of a
beloved children's entertainer, MALLORY LEWIS has been deeply involved in
children's entertainment her entire life. A multiple Emmy Award nominee and Emmy
Award winner for "Outstanding Writing in a Children's Series," Lewis has an
extensive background in all aspects of television production, including writing,
producing, and performing. She began her career at age 12 working with her
mother by ghostwriting for her newspaper column. After writing and producing for
the Lamb Chop's Play-Along show, Lewis assumed the responsibilities of
her mother's three prime-time variety specials, and served as executive story
editor and producer of The Charlie Horse Music Pizza.
Following her mother's death, Lewis began appearing with Lamb Chop at live and
televised events, performing in more than 400 shows at such venues as The Magic
Castle and aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2. She has toured with the USO,
entertaining the troops and their families around the world.
As an author, Lewis has penned 20 children's novels, including the popular
Adventurers Inc. and Zoey and Me series.
Most recently Mally (as she is known 0n stage) is also honoring her mother's
legacy with her new DVD series, Phonics 4 Babies. The first DVD in the
series, titled Babies 1st Words!, is currently available in stores and at
phonics4babies.com! The second title in the series, titled Family and Friends
will hit the stores Feb 25 '08!
